I’m a bit surprised with this information that Vizio is the no. 1 seller of LCD TVs in the US for the first quarter of this year with 18.5% market share. It was actually a close fight with Samsung with its 17.6% share.
LG is in third place while Sony and Sanyo followed. Trailing behind are Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic, and Hitachi.
Aside from the LCD TV market, Vizio also did good at the sound bar market capturing 27.5 percent.
Okay, I’m impressed now with the numbers. So, should other manufacturers be worried?
