Proteus Digital Health is proud to announce that the FDA approved a pill sensor that one can ingest. This ingestible sensor is a small microchip that only activates when inside the stomach.

Health agencies in Europe and US have approved the Proteus pill that aims to pick up signals inside the body and then send a message to someone. The sensor would dissolve in the stomach once done with what it needs to do.

Proteus uses sensor-based technologies. It’s working with Otsuka to develop commercial products for future needs in medicine. A non-exclusive license was given to Otsuka so they could use Proteus technology in research and development.
