Apple is humble enough to admit that the Apple Maps app on the iOS 6 has brought a lot of problems (and at the same time laughter). In a recent letter CEO Tim Cook posted on it corporate website, Cook admitted that Apple fell short of its commitment on the Maps.

With this, Apple is suggesting we use alternatives for now like Waze, Bing, MapQuest, as well as, Nokia or Google maps by going to their mobile website and making a shortcut. Apple is now in the process of improving maps so other maps are recommended for now.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.
