In the eve of Apple’s unveiling of the newest iPhone to the world, here is Google reminding us that, with 500 million Android devices activated worldwide, the Android platform is still bigger than iOS.The announcement, coming from Google’s Director of Product Management for Android Hugo Barra, states that 500 million Android devices are now activated and that over 1.3 million new Android devices are added every single day. Take note, in July 2012 we have heard from Google’s Andy Rubin that 900,000 Android devices are activated each day, and back in December of 2011, the figure is only at 700,000.
Now that Apple has a couple of new iOS devices, the iPhone 5 and the highly improved iPod Touch, will Cupertino revert back to announcing daily iOS devices activations again?
