Google today announced users have downloaded apps from their Google Play store more than 25 billion times. To mark this great milestone, Google is offering collections of apps from its top developers like Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Runtastic, Full Arts and others for only $0.25. Google is also offering discounts from a collection of movies, books, music albums and magazines, starting Wednesday.
In March of 2012, Google competitor Apple’s App Store hit the same download mark, but with Google gaining a higher market share than the iOS, it is safe to say that Google will catch up with Apple’s mobile platform soon.
