While Amazon recently unveiled a handful of new Kindles with much funfare, waiting along the sidelines for your e-book reader dollars is the Kobo Reader, which released its new line of e-ink devices
in a more laidback fashion. And since one of the downsides of e-ink screens is the lack of backlights, the flavors of ebook readers nowadays come with backlighting on the device, without the need to purchase a third-party
clip-on light. The Kobo Glo features a backlight, which enables readers to read in the dark on the six-inch E-ink display. Glo will be available in pink, blue, silver, and black for $129.
The Kobo Mini meanwhile features a five-inch screen and only weighs 134 grams with storage for 1000 digital books, touch sensitive screen and customizable fonts for $79.99. Another device called Kobo Arc is also unveiled, a seven-inch LCD tablet featuring a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0, expected at $199.99 for the 8GB version while the 16GB sells for $249.00
