Nissan entered an all electric vehicle race recently at Japan’s Sportsland Sugo with a modified Nissan Leaf. The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC received modifications which included shifting around the motor to make it rear wheel drive, shifting the battery pack to the middle to improve handling and being fitted with a much sleeker body.
For safety the car was fitted with electric power shut down capabilities in the event of a crash and more crumple zones were added.
The race went well with the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC(what a long name!) coming in second to a Tesla Roadster. Once again, Tesla takes home the cake.
