Korean auto maker Hyundai Motor will roll out what is tagged as the world’s first production Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) at the Paris Auto Show today, betting on this technology as a more realistic future for cars than cars like Nissan’s Leaf, which are considered as pure battery electric cars. Hyundai will be offering 1,000 FCEVs based on the Tucson crossover starting December this year until 2015 in Europe, Reuters reports. The company says the edge of fuel cell technology in cars
is range. FCEVs, like Hyundai’s can run as far as 588 km on a full charge, while cars like the LEaf can only last up to 73 miles on a single charge.
