Thank you Apple for allowing other mobile carriers like Verizon to carry the iPhone 5. Now, we have more options to choose from. I’m choosing Verizon and looks like it’s a good decision as the carrier is said to have unlocked the iPhone 5. This means one can use the iPhone 5 on other networks even while still under agreement. Verizon even have no plans to lock the Apple phone in the future or when the contract is over.
Being used on a different network is allowed. Verizon Wireless is too generous with this decision and I’m certain many people will take advantage of this.
Verizon did not make this decision just to get more subscribers but it’s because an agreement with the FCC. Apparently, Verizon has been told not to lock devices under its LTE network. That’s why.
