ASUS adds new models to Zenbook Ultrabook lineup

I always believed that 2012 will be the year of Ultrabooks and rightly so, Ultrabooks are being released left and right. We’re still not in the Post PC Era yet because we still need our laptops. The challenge now is for manufacturers to come up with Ultrabooks that are light yet powerful.

ASUS is determined to stay in the game by coming up with new Ultrabooks. More models have been added to the Zenbook line including the 14-inch UX42VS and the 15-inch UX52VS and U500VZ Ultrabooks.

These new ASUS Zenbook Ultrabooks will be made available next month and will have prices anything between $699 and $2,000.

Let’s take a look at the specs of these new ASUS Ultrabooks:

ASUS UX42VS. 14-inch screen, weighs 1.9kg, 6mm chassis, an optical drive, NVIDIA GT645M graphics, 1GB RAM, Inte Core i3/it/i7 processors, up to 6GB of RAM, 1TB HDD mac

ASUS UX525VS. Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU processor, up to 10GB of memory, up to 1TB HDD storage, 645M graphics card

ASUS U500VZ. Intel quad-core Core i7 processor, 8GB memory, 1080p display, GT650M GPU graphics, 2GB video memory, weighs 2kg (4.4 pounds), 6mm thick (not an Ultrabook but still thin and light)

ASUS also plans on selling 11- and 13-inch touch Zenbook Prime Ultrabooks soon.
