The White House has become a target of a cyber attack. The website “The Washington Free Beacon” reported last Sunday that hackers tried to enter the network. (Un)fortunately, White House geeks were alert so they were able to detect and block the hacker attack. No data was stolen.
This is nothing new. In fact, this is common in the US. In this day and age, websites, corporate or even the personal ones, are prone to attack. Spear phishing is one way to stole data from a certain groups.
Remember in 2011 when Google accused some Chinese hackers to be behind Gmail hacking activities? That affected a lot of people in the US from students to employees and even the government and military. Lesson learned was to make extra efforts to secure your server or website. As for the ordinary Netizens, don’t be so gullible.
