google internet prepares for hurricane sandy

Google is postponing the October 29 Android Event. The Playground won’t be the best venue for such a launch because Hurricane Sandy is expected to be strong. Google is being more helpful now by giving this week’s hurricane its own Google Crisis Map.

As with the Hurricane Isaac, Google Crisis Maps for Hurricane Sandy is expected to help people to track the storm by displaying information about the hurricane.

Data and information are collected by the Google Crisis Response team from different sources.

People are encouraged to share and make use of this Google Crisis Map for the benefit of many people. It was proven helpful during the Hurrican Isaac and we’re hoping this time, more people will benefit from the map.
