The US media mogul and chairman of Liberty Global John Malone recently criticized the market power of search giant Google. Malone is calling for its regulation because it is “extremely dominant” he informed German news magazine “Der Spiegel”.
John Malone seemed to be certain that regulation will finally come someday in Europe, if not in the US. He shared that Good has its own development plans that would “sometimes collide with the interests of Google customers.”
Recently, two of John Malone’s companies, TripAdvisor and Expedia, have filed a complaint against the business practices of Google in the travel industry.
The case is currently with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. We also heard reports that “FTC is considering filing an antitrust case” against Google.
