Adopting to iOS 6 has been quick for millions of iOS device owners. It was on 15 percent of iOS devices within 24 hours after its launch and on 60 percent of iPhones and 45 percent of iPads in less than two weeks.
It’s been three weeks and we’re seeing an interesting pattern and different observations from different groups. Chitika says iOS 6 has only been adopted by 68 percent of iPhone, 51 percent of iPads, and 40 percent of iPods. The numbers are more than the previous week. Overall adoption is already 60 percent of iOS devices. These data are based on Chitika’s October 10 ad impressions.
On the other hand, Chartboost is saying i0S 6 is on under 50 percent of iOS gadgets but still increasing especially in Europe with 65 percent of Italy iOS device owners now running iOS 6, 62.3 percent in Germany, 57.6 percent in the UK, and 60.1 percent in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, China is the slowest to adopt to iOS 6 with only 24.5 percent adoption.
