
Kieron-Scott Woodhouse, a design student in the UK is getting ready to launch what is touted as the world’s first smartphone made out of bamboo – the ADzero.
Made out of four-year-old organic bamboo treated for durability, the smartphone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich and is backed by a UK entrepreneur after seeing prototypes of the product posted online. The phone is said to be available at select UK retailers by the end of 2012.
