Microsoft Introduces Office 365 University Suite of Apps for Students

Microsoft today announced Office 365 University, a version of the productivity suite of apps aimed to students priced at $79.99 for a four-year, two-computer license.On a per month basis that would amount to $1.67 and promises to offer Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Onenote, Access and Publisher. Office 365 University will also come with 20 extra gigabytes of Skydrive storage, for a total of 27 gigabytes of storage, if you include the initial 7 gigabyte free storage. Students also get 60 minutes of free world minutes on Skype, ideal for students studying abroad or those who study far from home. Office on Demand also comes with the $79.99 package, which allows users to ‘stream’ Office on any PC with an Internet connection.

Microsoft Office 365 University will be released in 52 markets including Taiwan, but not China.
