I’m not interested that this happened but I thought you’d like to know that Verizon sold a whopping 3.1 million iPhones last quarter. Not all were iPhone 5 models since it was revealed only less than a month. Believe it or not, 650,000 of the 3 million units were iPhone 5′s.
I expected this would happen because Verizon is offering the iPhone 5 unlocked. The number would be higher if only more iPhone 5′s were available, no thanks to the delay in production over at the Foxconn factory in China.
Verizon sold 6.8 millions smartphones in the 3rd quarter: 3.1 million from Apple and 3.4 million Android devices. That’s almost 50-50 but more Android phones were sold. The rest include BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices.
