
Softbank is buying Sprint. What?! This rumor has been spreading around for says but more information are coming out each day. CNBC recently reported that $20 billion will be spent to acquire 70 percent of Sprint. This means Softbank, a Japanese mobile carrier, will be the major stockholder in Sprint.
Previous rumors only mentioned a $12 billion acquisition but now we’re hearing it’s more than that. Actually, the other $8 billion is said to be from other Sprint shareholdres and Sprint is only acquiring from them.
Announcement is expected to be made anytime this week so let’s wait and see.
