
In a move that the company describes as an ‘effort to streamline operations,’ Marissa Mayer-led Yahoo is leaving the South Korea market. The company did not disclose any other details on its departure from South Korea, but it explained further that it will try to reestablish itself around the world as a powerful web company. since 1997, the South Korean unit consists of 220 employees delivering editorial content and advertising efforts in the country, where Yahoo’s market share has been in decline with the entry of competing portals like Naver and Daum.
