Intel moving to non-upgradeable CPUs?

 non-upgradeable chips by intel

Some geeks like to buy new PC systems when they’ve turned slow. Others, simply like to upgrade their stuff by buying new processor and hardware. But in the future, we may have to really let go of our custom PC systems as Intel is rumored to be switching to a ball grid array (BGA) contants from a land grid array (LGA). What does this mean? Chips might be soldered like those for the laptops so upgrading will be a challenge. No need to upgrade, just buy a one– that could be the future.

No confirmation from Intel yet and only speculations on the reasons have been heard. So yeah, we’ll consider this as a rumor for now.
