As if not knowing the correct size and dimension of something will not make you buy online, a virtual tape measure will be more than helpful. I thought about something before but I had no idea how to develop a program or an app. Enter the smart guys from the London College of Fashion, the University of Surrey and Guided, for coming up with the idea of a camera being used as a virtual tape measure. This one is easier as any camera or smartphone can be used. Take a photo of yourself and let the computer software do its job.
The project is still under development but the team hopes to finish it in two years.
