Apple is giving us an early Christmas gift. No, no free iPhone for you and me but at least unlocked units can be purchased from the major carriers in the US. The unlocked iPhone starts at $649 for the WiFi 16GB model.
This may be good news for the die-hard Apple fans but the price is still expensive. Why get an iPhone 5 for that price when the Android Nexus 4 is only $350? I’m an Apple fan but that’s too pricey for a phone for me.
