Google is on top of the mobile industry with the Android OS running on about one billion devices. The number is set to grow even bigger what with the search giant working now with automakers. Among the first few partners are Audi, Honda, Hyundai, and General Motors, also working with NVIDIA.
All five companies joined forces to start the Open Automotive Alliance. More brands will be added which means we’ll hear of more Android-powered cars this 2014 and beyond.
This development will benefit drivers as more and more car models are integrating more software on their dashboards bringing infotainment to the next level. Connected cars this 2014? You bet.
