According to Baird Equity Research’s consumer smartphone survey in the US, out of 785 consumers, 42 percent said they are “interested” or “very interested” in an Amazon smartphone. Meanwhile, 29 percent responded that they are not interested or probably not interested from the online retail giant, which has recently switched its attention to creating its own branded products like the Kindle family of e-readers at its latest Kindle Fire tablet. Mobile Internet usage accounts only 8.5 percent
