Remember the Facebook Home video? That video got Facebook to face a lawsuit filed by Eminem. Yup, that remember who became popular from the past decade. I’m guessing the current generation have little knowledge about him but the new issue with Facebook might just make him a bit famous today.

The rapper, through publisher Eight Mile Style, is suing Facebook for infringing some rights for using the song “Under the Influence” in the Facebook Home video. The song was used in the “Airplane” video.

You can say Eminem wants to take advantage of Mark Zuckerberg’s billions but I get his point. But then according to Wieden+Kennedy, ad agency that made the Facebook Home Airplane video, Eight Mile Style could not assert copyright because the same song was just copied from Michael Jackson’s “Give In To Me” song.

It was a song ripped from another song so Eminem couldn’t claim copyright infringement. Okay. If that’s the case, how come the original Facebook Home video on YouTube is no longer publicly available?

NASA will soon be using a 3D food printer to print food. What’s that? A food printer. It’s self-explanatory but I’m sure you’re finding this one weird. Systems & Materials Research Corporation’s Anjan Contractor won a $125,000 grant from NASA to complete a project that will result to a printer than can make a pizza mixing nutritional powers, water, and oil.

The 3D Food Printer is expected to be used in NASA’s future space travels. You see, astronauts get hungry like you and me but their food choices are limited. Someday, they might survive eating any food they like courtesy of 3D food printers.

Interesting…can’t wait to see a 3D food printer and actually eat a “print out”.

Intel will never stop manufacturing quality processors. It has already made its mark in the tech industry but the company won’t stop improving and will only continue to do greater things. Why, Intel is said to be working on new devices according to an internal e-mail recently leaked. Intel CEO Brian Krzanich was saying that a “new devices” group was organized and some re-organization is going to take place soon.

The new unit was only mentioned but no further details were shared. But if this is a ‘new device’ unit, then it has something to do with new products Intel is supposedly developing. Instead of only chips, Intel could be delivering an entire line of hardware powered by its own processors. It sounds to good to be true but I know a lot of geeks are already crossing their fingers– me included.

WWDC 2013 is happening soon and Apple fans are expecting to hear more about the new mobile OS–iOS 7. We’ve only heard rumors like Flickr and Vimeo being integrated into to the OS. You may remember that Twitter and Facebook integration were present on the last major OS version and looks like more social sites will be supported soon.

I don’t doubt that Flickr and Vimeo integrated on iOS 7 may happen because the direction of the mobile industry is to integrate more platforms as possible. I’m excited to hear such great news. More about this on June 10 at the Moscone Center.

I have a feeling smartwatches will be in thing this 2013. Apple started it with the iPod Nano which gave us geeks an idea to turn it into a wrist-wearable iPod. A number of smart watches have already come out and we’re expecting to see more.

Another product of crowd-funding is the Agent smartwatch. The World’s Smartest Watch according to its designer Secret Labs, this features Bluetooth connectivity allowing support for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and Android 2.3 and higher, and Windows Phone 8 devices.

The Agent Smartwatch boasts of dual processors (ARM Cortex M4 and a secondary processor), wireless charging capability, and interchangeable watch faces.

The Agent Smartwatch is listed on Kickstarter with a $100,000 fund goal. As of this writing, the project has reached the amount but there are more weeks to go. Looks like we have found a worth Pebble Watch rival. We’ll see…

Opera has just released an upgraded version of its mobile browser for Android. This version is said to be using Google’s Chromnium instead of its very own Presto.

This particular Chrome version had been redesigned to be more intuitive. It’s based on the Webkit but it won’t be a Chrome clone. New features include a lighter color scheme, Discover feature, Off-Road for data compression, and Speed Dial.

The Discover features lets you easily find articles that interest you from technology, news, arts, etc. The Off-Road features data compression to reduce data traffic. Speed Dial works as a special place for your bookmarks for easier access when needed.
