Yahoo is buying Tumblr for $1.1 billion. The board has finally given the green light so this means we’ll see changes soon both on Yahoo and Tumblr. The blogging platform will still be fully controlled by the Tumblr team but expect to see Yahoo ads on Tumblr blogs. On the other hand, Tumblr posts will be seen on one’s Yahoo homepage newsfeed. Google is really on a shooting spree. No, not the bad kind. The search giant has been shutting down a lot of sites and services lately. It wants Microsoft to pull the Windows Phone Youtube app and the Google SMS Search is closing soon. And now this: Google Checkout. Yahoo is buying Tumblr. According to Wall Street Journal, the board of directors of Yahoo already said ‘yes’ to the acquisition that will cost the company $1.1 billion. Looks like Marissa Mayer’s leadership is doing the company good, doing many big changes within. mehr »

Why, Samsung is believed to be working on 5G connectivity and is currently testing it. The 5G may bring 1Gbps speed!
