Wii U pre-orders of software hit 1.2 million at GameStop. That could have meant at least 1.2 million units of Wii U were sold but then how come only 400,000 Wii U systems were sold in North America during launch? Nintendo yesterday announced the Wii U sales on the first week. The number is far from the record set by the original Wii model in November 2006.
