Finally, Microsoft has launched the Xbox Music and Xbox Video apps for Windows Phone 8. The app lets users to sync radio stations and edit playlists but the complete version will be out in 2014, next year. mehr »
We know Steve Ballmer would be replaced as CEO anytime soon but looks like the search for a new CEO will take a while. We’re expected an early 2014 announcement but Board member John Thompson said otherwise.
Ballmer announced his stepping down from the position within 12 months. After that, we’ve heard of a few names come up being considered for the job. We heard about the COO of Qualcomm Steve Mollenkopf and then there’s Stephen Elop of Nokia and Alan Mullaly of Ford too.
We have no idea who will be the rightful successor but we hope that person will help bring Microsoft into a better and brighter future. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. mehr »

Nokia’s acquisition by Microsoft will soon be finalized as the Indian court allowed the phone manufacturer to sell its Chennai manufacturing unit to the Redmond company. Nokia’s assets were previously frozen because the court says Nokia still owes taxes. mehr »
Rumor has it that we’ll see a new Android phone from Nokia. This is according to trusty ol’ @evleaks. It’s similar to the Asha but it lacks a shutter button, LED flash, and capacitive buttons and is expected to release next year. mehr »
Redbox Instant by Verizon is now on Windows Phone. Android and iOS already have this app but it’s only now that Microsoft is getting a version. If you’re on Windows Phone, don’t rejoice yet as the app will be exclusive for Lumia phones for about two months. mehr »

We saw the Sony Playstation 4 to be released first but in a few days, we’ll get to see the underrated Xbox One. Microsoft is hoping that the next-gen gaming console will sell more. The faltering empire of PCs want to capture at least 40 percent of the game console market in Germany according to Xbox Germany CEO Oliver Kaltner. At present, share is only 30 percent but the company wants the number to improve to 40% before the year 2013 ends. mehr »
Microsoft announced Steve Ballmer will be retiring within a year. We also heard of a rumor that he was actually asked to step down just like Bill Gates but we’ll never know. I guess that won’t matter now since Microsoft is close to having a new CEO as Ballmer’s successor. From five to three candidates, the choices have been trimmed down already. mehr »
No doubt Google is the top search giant. I don’t count on the other search engines. There is a reason why people say “google it”. I will never understand Google’s many algorithms but I know the company knows what it is doing. As you know, Google can manipulate and filter results to their liking. mehr »
