Earlier this year, we mentioned Google would be bringing about 27,000 Chromebooks to schools in the US. It’s not only in the US that these Google laptops are being used as school districts across Europe are also embracing the technology. Thanks to Google Apps for Education and similar web apps.
For one, Leyden High School District from Illinois is releasing Chromebooks to 3,500 students this coming school year. Apps to be used for school purposes include Pearson’s OpenClass, Geogebra, SlideRocket, WeVideo, EasyBib, and Vernier Labquest2.
Aside from the 500 districts across Europe and US using Chromebooks, Google adds more districts: Fond du Lac School District in Wisconsin, Transylvania County Schools, and Rockingham Country Schools in North Carolina.
